Welcome to SADA
- SADA is a national welfare organisation which provides support and information to diabetics
and the South African public.
- SADA organises lectures, information groups and youth and family camps where they
exchange ideas and experiences.
- SADA advises on local services and keeps in touch through branch newsletters.
- SADA acts in the general interest of all diabetics by promoting public awareness, lobbying
for better conditions for diabetics and campaigning for improved and more cost-effective
treatment.
SADA needs to raise funds to support all these activities. We receive no government help
and rely entirely on voluntary subscriptions and donations. SADA needs your support.
The quarterly magazine, Diabetes Focus, is distributed free of charge to members and it covers
essential topics such as:
- Up-to-date news on diabetes and how to manage it.
- Real-life stories of how other people cope.
- Practical tips on day-to-day problems.
- Dietary news and exciting tasty recipes for healthy lifestyles.
- Progress in research.
